Our Farm Animals

Highland

Water Buffalo

I can trace my ancestors to the Far East, and I’ve been helping farmers in India and China for over 5000 years.

In my native countries I am very useful for tilling the rice fields and pulling heavy loads around, but I’m here enjoying my retirement with the Upton Family. Come along and see me!

Highland

Highland

I’m originally from Scotland in Europe, and I can trace my ancestors back over 1400 years.

I have the longest hair of any breed of cattle, I actually have two coats, with the outer layer being thick and shaggy so I can stand the very cold winters in the cold north of Scotland.

Longhorn

Longhorn

Howdy Y’all! I’m a longhorn, and my breed of cattle was the first one to ever set hoof in the USA, coming over with Christopher Columbus and the Spanish colonists. I’m All American!
They don’t call me longhorn for nothing… my horns can grow so long they can stretch over 6 feet wide from tip to tip!

Watusi

Watusi

Have you ever seen anything quite so handsome as me?

Originally from Africa, My kind is well established in North America, and we like it here! Do you like my horns? My breed has the widest horns of any cattle on the planet, but did you know we use them to keep cool as well as show off?

miniature donkey

Miniature Donkey

I’m a miniature donkey, and donkeys have been around for thousands of years. We’re quite sociable creatures, and not nearly as stubborn as we are made out – well, not always anyway! Can’t wait to meet you!

goats

Our Goat Family

Male goats are called billies or bucks, and female goats are called nannies or does. All baby goats are called kids, so bring your kids to see the kids!

Did you know there are over 300 different breeds of goat? We are spread out everywhere, and there are over 900 million goats living in the world today – that would be some family reunion!
